IT fundamentals fast track in English

Our IT Fundamentals course is made up of three modules. Each module concludes with an exam. If you pass, you will receive a certificate for each module.

Requested commitment: 1 day per week of classes on campus + repetition and practice at home.

1. Computer Hardware Essentials

Every IT professional needs a solid understanding of computer hardware. This module will give you that expertise by exploring:

• The core components of personal computers, laptops, mobile devices, and servers.   
• Hardware functionality, performance, and applications.   
• Installation, configuration, and maintenance of internal hardware.   
• Essential peripherals and connectivity options.

2. Basic Networking Concepts

Networking is the backbone of modern IT. In this module, you'll demystify the complexities of network infrastructure and gain the ability to:

• Understand Local Area Networks (LANs) and the OSI model.   
  
• Configure and troubleshoot network settings.   
  
• Work with essential network services like DHCP, DNS, and Active Directory.   
  
• Get an introduction to Virtual Private Networks (VPNs).

3. Basic Operating System Concepts - Windows

Operating systems are the software that makes computers work. This module focuses on the ubiquitous Windows environment and covers:

• Configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Windows OS and Windows Server.   
  
• Deploying Windows and performing post-installation tasks.   
  
• Managing users, groups, devices, and data access.   
  
• Windows security, networking, and remote connectivity.   
  
• Server administration, including Server Core, Group Policy, and Active Directory.
